Reason for nomination: "Sergeant Gomez provided unparalleled communications support in the emergency operations center during the recent peninsula-wide Operational Readiness Exercise at Kunsan. During this week-long exercise, Sergeant Gomez single-handedly managed four successful video-teleconferences with 7th Air Force for the base commander despite numerous technical issues. She also configured a laptop that allowed the Commander's Access Channel to be remotely updated from the alternate command post. Sergeant Gomez also re-keyed five radios, programmed five secure telephones and submitted an accreditation package to allow the Commander to have Secure Internet Protocol Router Network access in his home. Her superior job knowledge was a critical asset for maintaining operations in the EOC." - Tech. Sgt. Richard Graves, 8th FW Knowledge Operations NCO in charge
