As the calendar year comes to a close, I want to wish you happy holidays and thank you for what you do every day.
Your work here on the frontier of freedom is securing peace not only for the Korean Peninsula, but for the world.
All of you left family and friends to come to Korea for a year in service to your country. While the holidays sometimes make that sacrifice seem more difficult, it is my hope that you take this chance to celebrate with your Wolf Pack family and friends. This will be the third Kunsan Christmas of my Air Force career. The other two are very fond and treasured memories, and I wish the same for your Kunsan Christmas. Take the time to talk to your families. Pass along my gratitude. Pass along our nation’s gratitude.
The 8th Fighter Wing is great because of you. You are a finely tuned laser-focused team. Nothing gets in the way of our mission—to Take the Fight North—and we are lethal because every single Airman knows his or her direct contribution to F-16s roaring off of our Airfield and into the nightmares of our enemy. I will thank you every day, face-to-face when I can, for your drive, desire, energy, and connection to the single mission of the Wolf Pack.
Thank you for being on our winning team. Thank you for embracing our heritage of being warriors far from home for the holidays. I am proud to be your Wolf.
