Duty Title: 8th Medical Operations Squadron Flight Surgeon

Job Description/mission statement: The mission of Flight Medicine is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of the aviation community by assessing the safety of the occupational environments. The flight surgeon is required to deploy with their flying squadrons, train medical personnel, prepare and maintain mobility equipment, conduct facilities and aircrew flight equipment (life support) inspections, actively participate on the flying squadron commander's staff, maintain the health of the aircrews and their families, and be current and qualified in the unit's assigned aircraft.

Years in the Air Force: 3 years inactive reserve and 2.5 years active duty

Female inspiration and why? The most inspirational woman in my life is my mother. She instilled a strong work ethic and perseverance in me. She taught me the importance of walking in God's word and trusting in him, no matter the circumstance. These values I inherited from her are the key to my success.
