COLONEL TODD A. “WOLF” DOZIER

Colonel Todd A. Dozier commands the 8th Fighter Wing at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea and serves as the U.S. Forces Korea Area VI commander for more than 7,000 Air Force and Army combat-ready and forward-stationed personnel. The 8th Fighter Wing plans, supports, and executes military operations to include counter-air, interdiction and close-air support and consists of more than 2,700 active-duty personnel, four groups and 13 squadrons, including two F-16 fighter squadrons. He reports to the 7th Air Force commander for the wing's conduct of conventional air-to-ground and air-to-air missions in support of armistice and wartime taskings.

 

Colonel Dozier received his commission in 1992 through the ROTC program at Arizona State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. His assignments have included multiple operational tours in the EF-111A and F-16C/D aircraft. He has commanded a fighter squadron and Air Expeditionary Group and deployed for Operations PROVIDE COMFORT, NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, IRAQI FREEDOM, and INHERENT RESOLVE. His previous staff experience includes tours at Air Combat Command and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Prior to assuming his present duties, he served as the director of operations for 12th Air Force, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz.

 

Colonel Dozier is a command pilot with more than 3,100 flying hours, including more than 820 combat hours.
