Colonel Glojek is the Deputy Commander, 8th Fighter Wing, Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. As Deputy Commander, Col Glojek plays a key role in the plans, support and execution of military operations in support of counter-air, air interdiction and close-air support for 7th Air Force. The 8th Fighter Wing is a primary exercise and rotational force bed-down location for U.S. air component forces, maintaining active flightline operations, war reserve material and munitions at multiple contingency operating bases across the Korean Peninsula.
Colonel Glojek graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and was commissioned in May 2006. After completing pilot training, he served as a T-6A instructor pilot before flying the A-10C. He has served in multiple operational and leadership roles in the Republic of Korea and the United States, including as a flight commander, wing director of plans and programs, wing director of inspections, assistant director of operations, director of operations, and squadron commander. He deployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, leading combat missions in the A-10C. He was a Blue Horizons Fellow, where he advanced adversarial artificial intelligence technology, and later a National Defense Fellow at the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies. Prior to his current position, Colonel Glojek was the Chief of the Checkmate IndoPacific Division and Senior Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations at Headquarters Air Force, Washington, D.C.
