Retired U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. John Wayne Troxell, 3rd Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff answers a question posed by U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Kyle Ware, 8th Fighter Wing Equal Opportunity director, during his visit to Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, April 7, 2026. Troxell served in the U.S. Army for over 30 years and was chosen to be the third Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 2015 to 2019. He retired in 2020 and now spends his free time as an author, leadership consultant, and spokesman for the health and wellness for enlisted personnel.
