SUAS flies among the rooftops

An 8th Civil Engineer Squadron Small Unmanned Aircraft System surveys the rooftop of a dorm building at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Sept. 24, 2021. The SUAS, usually used to rapidly analyze airfield damage, is being multi-purposed in a proof of concept to inspect rooftops of the Wolf Pack’s tallest buildings. This capability allows civil engineer structures Airmen to inspect rooftops remotely, preventing potential fall risk and completing the survey in a fraction of the time.
