Wolf Pack view the Master Sgt. Chapman name unveiling ceremony
Members of the 8th Fighter Wing watch the Air Force Memorial name unveiling ceremony for Master Sgt. John Chapman held in Arlington, VA, at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Aug. 27, 2018. MSgt. Chapman was a combat controller from the 24th Special Tactics Squadron who was killed in action on March 4, 2002 during the battle of Takur Ghar, otherwise known as Robert’s Ridge. Chapman is now the first special tactics Airman to receive the Medal of Honor, as well as the first Airman to receive the nation’s highest award since the Vietnam War.
