For Whom the Bell Tolls

A visitor of the Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond takes a photo in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, July 18, 2017. The Donggung Palace was built in 57 BCE and was a secondary palace, used for banquets and important national events. Nearly 100 United States Forces Korea members were invited by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to tour this location and other historic sites across the ROK as part of an initiative to give U.S. personnel a better understanding of Korean culture and patriotism.
