Women’s Equality Day 2015

The movement for women’s equality started in the 1870’s, and in 1971, the U.S. Congress designated August 26th as Women’s Equality Day to celebrate the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote. This month we celebrate only the 95th anniversary of such event. (Courtesy graphic)
