Capt. Alex "Tuna" Turner lays down the chords on the electric guitar; Capt. Kevin "Bama" Sweeney keeps the baseline beat on the drums; 1st Lt. Kristine "Sparkie" Knieff belts out a tune, and Lt. Col. Steve "Dallas" Horton blends with the bass during practice here Aug. 9. The captains are pilots with the 35th Fighter Squadron; the colonel is the 35th FS director of operations; and the lieutenant is an executive officer with the 8th Maintenance Group. They are members of Steal Wool.
