Heading to the distant frontier
KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- F-16 pilots with the 35th Fighter Squadron finish up pre-flight paperwork Sept. 18. The 35th FS heads to Eielson Air Force Base for Distant Frontier and Red Flag Alaska for month-long training. Distant Frontier gives the Wolf Pack team the chance to drop live and inert heavyweight munitions. Red Flag Alaska gives the pilots and maintainers an air combat training environment where multi-services, multi-platforms and their aircrews are run through every thinkable combat threat.
