Plotting the next target
JEONJU, Republic of Korea -- Airman 1st Class Nathan Archambault, tactical air controller assigned to the 604th Air Support Operations Squadron, U.S. Army Garrison Casey, plots coordinates in preparation for a simulated air strike July 12. Known as TAC-Ps, the controllers work with joint terminal attack controllers, or JTACs, to support friendly and coalition ground forces when close air support is needed. The TAC-Ps and JTACs teamed with Wolf Pack pilots, based at Kunsan Air Base, ROK, to hone their abilities to perform CAS missions. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Steven R. Doty)
