Mallipo Beach Oil Spill

MALLIPO BEACH, South Korea -- Airmen and Soldiers from Kunsan Air Base along with Korean nationals clean rocks after crude oil spilled from a crane barge December 7, 2007 and washed ashore here. Over 200,000 volunteers assisted with the clean up of 2.7 million gallons of oil. Several agencies, to include 13 helicopters, 17 airplanes, 327 vessels and United States Air Force, Army personnel and Korean nationals took part in the clean up efforts.
