In Memoriam

Col. Robert P. Givens, 8th Fighter Wing commander pays his respects and lay flowers to mourn the Republic of Korea Navy sailors killed in the sinking of the Cheonan naval patrol ship last month. The Republic of Korea government has declared April 25-29 a 5-day mourning period for the sailors. Places have been set up at military bases around the country where people can go and express their condolences. The designated location here at Kunsan AB is at the ROKAF visitor center located at the back gate. A white banner of mourning is displayed on the front of the building. Anyone wishing to express their condolences at the loss of our Korean Navy allies can do so at the visitor center between the hours 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., April 25 - 29. Flowers will be available to lay as a memorial to the fallen sailors. Dress will be uniform of the day. (Courtesy photo)
