KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Airmen assigned to the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron installed and certified a new Barrier Arresting Kit-12 system on the flight line at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Sept. 17, 2013. These barriers are in place to save the pilot's life and the multi-million dollar aircraft in case of an in-flight emergency such as battle damage, loss of hydraulics, an aborted takeoff or other malfunctions.
