Female inspiration and why? I'm a female inspiration because, as one of the few African American female senior NCOs, I have been given the opportunity to train and mentor soldiers in the acquisition, logistic and technology career field. I am able to help expand a career field once considered an additional duty in a Military Occupation Specialty, and I bring diversity to the work force. Women in today's armed service have more opportunities than before and can thrive in any career path they choose.
