Letter from his commander:
I would like to recommend Master Sgt. Michael Fisher from the 8th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron for the Pride of the Pack Award. Master Sgt. Fisher has made numerous contributions to the wing and community from the moment he arrived at Kunsan Air Base in May 2006. As the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Production Superintendent he leads personnel spanning 10 diverse AFSCs in support of aircraft maintenance unit operations. Additionally, he manages 41 F-16 C/D aircraft as well as equipment items valued at more than $2.1 billion. He is also responsible for coordination of all end-of-runway operations, monitors hot pit refueling actions during daily sortie generation and provides detailed aircraft maintenance status reports directly to 8th Fighter Wing leadership, 7th Air Force and Pacific Air Forces.

A proven war fighter, Master Sgt. Fisher led the squadron thru three peninsula-wide and two local Operational Readiness Exercises. His actions directly impacted the Wolf Pack's preparation for the PACAF Operational Readiness Inspection. All of his hard work paid-off when the 8th FW recorded an overall "Excellent" rating and the maintenance group earned an "Excellent" rating for both employment & generation.

In addition to his regular duties, Master Sgt. Fisher's enthusiastic can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills played a vital role in the success of the 8 FW's renovation of 43 hardened aircraft shelters and refurbishment of 53 HAS crew offices. He flawlessly formulated a plan, coordinated with various base agencies to secured funds and equipment, for this monumental task totaling $7.6 million. His actions not only boosted the quality of life of 494+ flightline maintainers, this plan included the installation of computers and phones in each HAS Office thus increasing the communication and combat effectiveness of the 8th FW. Furthermore, he initiated a contract for repair and preventive maintenance on all 43 HAS doors further improving the 8th FW's ability to survive and operate.

Master Sgt. Michael Fisher exemplifies the best of the Wolf Pack and is deserving of this recognition. He is a true professional and never fails to deliver less than phenomenal results. Please consider him for the Pride of the Pack Award.
