Letter from his commander:
I highly recommend Staff Sgt. Jack Stanley from Weapons Standardization for the Pride of the Pack Award. Sergeant Stanley is responsible for training, certification and proficiency of 34 combat weapons load crews within the 8th Maintenance Group. He performs evaluations and monitors flightline weapons loading and maintenance operations, ensuring safe and reliable procedures are enforced for loading 19 different types of munitions. During the past 17 months, his outstanding instruction enabled the wing's load crews to achieve a superb 98 percent pass rate on more than 6,200 monthly proficiency requirement loads. He also significantly improved his section's training program by streamlining procedures for certifying 35 new personnel, fully qualifying them as load crew members in only 75 percent of the allotted time. Sergeant Stanley's dedication to duty and positive attitude is reflected in his willingness to always pitch in where needed and continually put the mission first.

In addition to his regular duties, Sergeant Stanley anchored the preparation efforts for Operational Readiness Inspection, 2007. He augmented the 35 and 80 AMU Weapons Sections during six Combat Employment Readiness Exercises. He provided both units with experience and skill to load 412 weapons accurately and 310 sorties on time, resulting in combat ready aircraft achieving a 99 percent hit rate and "Excellent" rating in all major categories during the HQ PACAF inspection. Additionally, his load crew was evaluated by the IG inspectors during the initial aircraft generation, earning high accolades for their flawless weapons loading demonstration. Sergeant Stanley's outstanding performance resulted in his selection as 8 MXG "Outstanding Performer".

Sergeant Stanley has not only excelled as an NCO and inspector, but he also provides first-class service to the 7th Air Force Aircraft Combat Cross-Servicing Program. He attended and graduated from F-4, F-5, and A-10 formal weapons courses providing "Outstanding" "Stage A" support to 48 scheduled allied aircraft. Finally, Sergeant Stanley's invaluable technical expertise was evident during the Combat Ammunition Production Exercise in July. He augmented the HQ PACAF/A4W inspection team evaluating the 8th FW integrating three wings while tasked to build 1,726 munitions to generate 489 F-15E and F-16 sorties. He identified numerous areas for improvement that will improve future "munitions delivery" and "command and control" operations. This includes identifying significant differences in munitions build-up and weapons loading technical. Through his ingenuity, expertise and hard work, Sergeant Stanley has dramatically improved the combat readiness of the 8th FW. Clearly, he would be an outstanding recipient of the Pride of the Pack Award.
