The 8th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office is initiating the Wolf Pack Story Book Corner as part of the Good Neighbor Program.

The Wolf Pack Story Book Corner is an opportunity for Airmen to give back to the local Gunsan City community by reading story books to elementary school age children.

"We're looking for energetic and enthusiastic Airmen to really bring the stories to life," said Ms. Rosemary Song of the 8th FW Public Affairs office. "Someone who can really get the children involved and interested in the story."

Volunteers can read books provided, bring their own books or even share fairytales from their childhood.

"This program is designed to help Korean children learn English," Ms. Song said. "As well as build relations between the city and Airmen assigned here."

The Wolf Pack Story Book Corner was kicked off by Col. C.Q. "Wolf" Brown, 8th Fighter Wing commander, Sept. 29 and will be a monthly event. Exact dates have not been finalized, but Wolf Pack members can expect the next event to take place on a Saturday for about four hours.

Transportation to and from is provided and the locations may vary from the Gunsan City Library to local schools.

For more information volunteers can contact Ms. Rosemary Song at 782-5194.
