Letter from his commander:
I recommend Staff Sergeant Brandon Von Willer from the 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron for the Pride of the Pack Award. Sergeant Von Willer continues to make a positive impact throughout the wing and community since his arrival to Kunsan Air Base in June 2007. He is the NCO in charge of the Outbound Personal Property Element within our Traffic Management Flight. He administers DoD personal property movement programs in line with entitlements and contractual guidelines for all 8th Fighter Wing personnel. He determines members' personal property entitlements are authorized in conjunction with PCS, TDY and local moves. He also oversees the Quality Control (QC) Section and is responsible for the inspection duties of all local area moving companies.

Sergeant Von Willer hit the ground running and is heavily relied upon by his unit. As NCOIC, a position normally held by a technical sergeant, he leads his eight-person team to superior mission accomplishment. His leadership was paramount in achieving a 99 percent customer satisfaction rate and ensuring continuity for his duty section. He provided Smooth Move Workshop personal property briefings to Wolf Pack departing personnel. His remarkable work ethic secured a 94 percent inspection rate for the QC Section that smashed the Air Force Goal by 14 percent.

He is a workhorse ensuring exemplary support of the 8 FW mission. Specifically, he managed the dorm relocation for the 8th Maintenance Squadron allowing the wing to relocate 288 personnel in just one week--a huge feat. He went the extra mile to guarantee all personnel were properly briefed on entitlements, had all required documentation and timely submittal of all billing documents. He currently is managing another relocation of over 100 OG Airmen.

Sergeant Von Willer has his mark all over Kunsan Air Base. He is a member of Team 5/6 and is the treasurer of the squadron's Unit Advisory Council. He has worked numerous morale enhancing functions, raising over 2,000 dollars for his unit. His additional duties include serving in the UCC as the TBMCS operator and he is the Safety Representative for the squadron. Along with base activities and additional duties, he has amassed 51 credit hours toward his CCAF degree.

Sergeant Von Willer is the real deal and continually sets the example for "Service-Before-Self." This was confirmed by his selection for the November MVP Award by the Kunsan Air Base Top 3. His unwavering dedication to duty has made impacting differences for the 8th Fighter Wing and the 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron and he is truly deserving of the Pride of the Pack Award.
