Senior Airman Anthony Samuelson has been a key member of the Wolf Pack for nearly two years and has made significant contributions to the Wing.

Airman Samuelson's primary duty is Avionics Journeyman assigned to the 80th Aircraft Maintenance Unit. His additional duties include section PTL monitor, Data Integrity Team member and targeting pod pylon monitor.

His work as targeting pod pylon monitor has ensured all unserviceable pylons are quickly identified and worked in a timely manner; the 80th AMU has consistently maintained a 100 percent serviceable rate for targeting pod pylons. As a member of the DIT, his diligence on a daily basis has contributed significantly to the section's error rate hovering markedly below 1percent, besting the 3percent standard by a significant margin.

Additionally, he has been recognized as a well-rounded avionics technician and as such was chosen over 15 others to make five trips to the KAI facility at Saecheon, Republic of Korea to induct or rebuild 10 aircraft undergoing modifications. His expertise and diligence ensured all Block 30 aircraft were transferred to Eielson AFB on time, closing a significant chapter in 8th Fighter Wing history.

Airman Samuelson personifies the Air Force Core Values and stands ready to take the fight north. His hard work and dedication was key to the successful execution of four peninsula-wide Operational Readiness Exercises in which the 8th FW generated more than 2,000 sorties. He was a valuable team member in the success of the Wolf Pack during the preparation and execution of the Pacific Air Forces' Operational Readiness Inspection. All of his hard work paid off when the 8th FW garnered an overall "Excellent" rating and the maintenance group earned an "Excellent" rating for both employment and generation.

In addition to his regular duties, Airman Samuelson's infectious can-do attitude and drive played a vital role in the success of the 80th AMU both on- and off-duty. He continually is the first to volunteer for activities such as Airmen Assisting Airmen and Town Patrol Volunteer. He was instrumental in the overwhelming success of a recent Hail and Farewell, single-handedly spit-roasting a pig -- a huge hit with unit members and a great morale booster.

Airman Samuelson exemplifies the best of the Wolf Pack and is deserving of this recognition. He consistently exhibits superior professionalism and never fails to deliver less than spectacular results.
