Wolf Pack members here at Kunsan Air Base, are preparing to exercise the base's mission once again - to Defend the Base, Accept Follow-on Forces and Take the Fight North.

An early morning, wing-wide recall kicked off Exercise Beverly Bulldog 08-04, Nov. 3. Throughout the day, Airmen and Soldiers began hardening buildings, occupying defensive positions and putting a "war-face" on the installation.

"This is not new to us," said Col. Bryan "Wolf" Bearden. "Most of us have done this before and know the drill. Those of you who haven't gone through a Kunsan exercise before, look to the Airmen next to you and learn from their experience."

Colonel Bearden sees opportunities for all Kunsan members to learn something from the exercise.

"Whether you're new to the Wolf Pack, or an 'old hand,' every Airman, Soldier, or civilian can learn something to help better execute the mission," he said.

During the week long exercise every unit on base will be tested on its ability to survive and operate in wartime conditions. Wolf Pack members will be expected to carry out their mission while under attack from hostile forces, while encumbered by different levels of Mission Oriented Protective Posture gear, and while rendering Self Aid and Buddy Care to injured personnel; a task the Wolf has no apprehensions about completing.

"The men and women of the 8th Fighter Wing are highly trained professionals ready to team with our Korean partners to defend South Korea if called upon," said Colonel Bearden. "It's training exercises such as this that help enhance that capability."

Exercise Beverly Bulldog 08-04 is scheduled to run through Nov. 7.
