Reason for nomination: "On 6 November 2010, Staff Sgt. Jason Boyer was performing 'follow-me' services for weekend duty for transient alert and recovered two F/A-18D aircraft from Iwakuni, Japan. After parking the USMC jets, Sergeant Boyer assisted the aircrew with refueling and hydraulic servicing. He also went out of his way to give the aircrew a ride to billeting. The following morning when the aircrew showed up to their aircraft, Sergeant Boyer had the aircraft set up for the pilots to do their preflight inspection prior to take off. The Marine pilots were not expecting this service since they had not originally requested transient services. Sergeant Boyer went above and beyond what was expected of him, he showed his superior expertise and Wolf Pack professionalism and is truly a deserving of the title 'Pride of the Pack' for the 8th Fighter Wing." - Maj. William Bradley, 8th Maintenance Squadron commander
