Reason for nomination: "Sergeant Diaz was a United Services Organization tour liaison, coordinating the bed down of 200 guests and 12 organizations to include protocol, security forces and logistics readiness, in support of the Tops in Blue and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders visits which included three shows with approximately 1,300 attendants. Her management skills culminated in the shows' success. She also dedicated 15 hours during two Honor Guard details in support of distinguished visitor performances including 400 attendants, executing the time-honored traditions flawlessly. Sergeant Diaz oversaw a military and civilian personnel security program, reviewing and authenticating clearances which provided unhampered visitation and regenerated 8th FSS Airmen, making them ready to fight tonight. She was also an FSS lynchpin, working 72-hour work weeks as the community activity center NCO in charge and lead Honor Guard trainer, serving Kunsan warriors." - Jim Wolfe, 8th FSS
