Reason for nomination: "Airman Bernard rose to the occasion when she led a team of two personnel in managing the wing's self-help program. She flawlessly managed a $100,000 budget and inventoried 250 self-help items. Her 'can-do' attitude and leadership led to this monumental task being completed with zero mistakes. Her actions ensured 100-percent accountability for materials and saved the Air Force $75,000 in prime vendor material cost. Being able to accomplish this job with NCO level of responsibility in the amount of time it was completed, is the reason I believe Airman Bernard is the Pride of the Pack." - Master Sgt. Alvin Dyer, 8th CES
