Each month, newcomers to the Wolf Pack are offered the chance to learn more about the city of Gunsan during a tour scheduled by the 8th Fighter Wing Airman and Family Readiness Center.

Recently, the AFRC decided to give back to the Gunsan City officials, who guide the Gunsan City Good Neighbor Orientation Tour, with a glimpse of Kunsan. The group was treated to a military working dog demonstration, air traffic control tower visit, static display and more.

"I decided to provide a tour for the guides because ... they have never been given a tour of the base or been thanked formally for providing the Gunsan City Good Neighbor Orientation Tour," said Lucy Belles, AFRC chief. "I wanted to show our appreciation for their dedication and their care of our Airmen when they go on (the tour)."

Peggy Baker, wife of Chief Master Sgt. Tom Baker, 7th Air Force command chief, also attended the tour.

"Thank you again for inviting me to participate in such a wonderful visit with our Gunsan City tour guides," Mrs. Baker wrote to Ms. Belles. "Their visit to Kunsan and getting to know our Wolf Pack was appreciated; and you could tell it meant so much to them ... and it certainly did to me! My sharing this day with you, Team A&FRC and our Wolf Pack will be a fond memory I will forever cherish."

One of the participants, Park Serim, a Gunsan City Hall International Cooperation Section Planning and Budget Department representative, told Mrs. Baker how much she appreciated and enjoyed the visit.

"It was surprising and a very enjoyable tour because everything done by Kunsan Air Base on that day was way much more than we had expected," she said. "We (the participants) ... extend our gratitude to you and all the personnel involved with the visit. We really did have a great day and felt a very warm welcome."

"The hospitality and the precious memory will cheer us to work hard for the cooperative relationship between Gunsan City and Kunsan AB," Ms. Park continued. "I believe this would help our friendship to get stronger and firmer between Gunsan City and the U.S. Air Force in Gunsan, Korea."
