Reason for nomination: "Sergeant Lovell's actions during the week of April 11 to 14 truly exemplify a Wolf Pack NCO. Sergeant Lovell volunteered to give a hardened shelter and F-16 aircraft tour to the Pacific Air Force's command chief master sergeant during his visit to Kunsan due to his outstanding professionalism. He was also the perfect choice to represent the Wolf Pack when the 7th Air Force Commander flew with the 35th AMU Pantons. Sergeant Lovell's launch, recovery and positive attitude were lauded by Lt. Gen. (Jeffrey) Remington after his 'Code 1' sortie was complete. Sergeant Lovell demonstrated his mechanical expertise when he identified an extended lube and scavenge pressure indicator during an aircraft launch. He replaced the expired filter and accomplished all checks enabling his aircraft to fly its scheduled sortie without deficiency. Finally, Sergeant Lovell led a maintenance team to install an aircraft engine during weekend duty. His efforts allowed the Pantons to maintain a 95.7 percent mission capable rate to start the following day. Sergeant Lovell's dedication to the mission makes him the perfect choice for this award." - Chief Master Sgt. Steven Ferrell, 8th AMXS chief
