Reason for nomination: "On the afternoon of June 9, Tech. Sgt. Brad Horn was performing duties as air traffic watch supervisor in the control tower. After assuming tower supervisory duties, the tower was notified of a returning F-16 Fighting Falcon that had declared an emergency due to an oil malfunction. Due to the high speed of the aircraft's approach, as a precaution, Sergeant Horn activated the runway's south end barrier cable as the aircraft prepared to land. The aircraft's speed carried it over the approach end barrier but the pilot was able to engage to the final barrier Sergeant Horn had just raised, which enabled a safe recovery of the aircraft. As such, Sergeant Horn is truly deserving of the title, 'Pride of the Pack'!" - Chief Master Sgt. Michael Murdock, 8th Operations Support Squadron
