Wolf Pack Airmen are currently engaged in exercise Beverly Midnight 12-02, during the last week of a three-week series of inspections by the Pacific Air Force's Inspector General Team.

"Last week inspectors gave us a tough look at checklists and reviewed the compliance of all of the Wolf Pack's programs," said Col. Scott Pleus, 8th Fighter Wing commander. "This week the inspectors will see how well we are able to defend the base, accept follow-on forces and take the fight north...our true bread and butter."

The operational readiness exercise officially kicked-off Sunday as the Wolf Pack moved into 24 hour operations.

"This isn't something new to the 8th Fighter Wing," said Capt. Danny Elich, 8th Medical Group's Commander's Action Group flight commander and chief of Aeromedical Safety. "We practice how we play because that is what the Wolf Pack does."

Exercise injects will include threats and simulations that may be seen during actual war situations in order to test the Wolf Pack's ability to survive and operate in a wartime environment.

"There is a very capable fighting force just north of us," said Major William Deitch, 8th Fighter Wing Staff Judge Advocate. "Operational readiness exercises provide realistic training that shows our Airmen are capable to perform."

Exercise scenarios will include threats such as chemical and missile attacks, firefights and mass casualty response.

"There is no doubt in my mind that Kunsan is ready to get the job done anytime," said Pleus. "We have a strategic partnership with our Republic or Korea allies and will continue to provide stability and security throughout the region."

The Wolf Pack will find out results of the consolidated unit inspection May 2 once the inspection is complete and the IG has completed their report.
