On Nov. 18, 2012, Tech. Sgt. Ernesto C. Veil, 8th Medical Operations Squadron ambulance services, was named Kunsan's weekly "Pride of the Pack."

What he did

During this week, Tech. Sgt. Veil immediately stepped up to fill the role of NCO in charge of ambulance services; the primary NCO in charge left un-expectantly for emergency leave. During this time Veil accepted additional shifts, rearranged and organized the schedule to ensure all shifts were covered for ambulance services.

Veil also coordinated and executed the retrieval of an 8th Medical Group ambulance from Osan AB all during his off duty time. He provided an outstanding immersion briefing to Col. Tamara Averette Brauer, Pacific Air Force command nurse. His professionalism and leadership was instrumental in a successful tour for the PACAF squadron chief nurse and staff. Veil also played a vital role during a dust off exercise with the US Army medevac medics from Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea.

During this week Veil went above and beyond to exhibit the highest of the Air Force Core Values of Service before Self, Integrity First, and Excellence in all we do. He truly embodies what it means to be the Pride of the Pack!
