Tech. Sgt. Donald Gettman, 8th Force Support Squadron manpower technician, was named Kunsan's weekly "Pride of the Pack," April 25, 2013.

What he did:
Tech. Sgt. Gettman went above and beyond his required manpower technician duties during the week of April 15-19. He prepped the Manpower Secure Internet Protocol Router room for inspection by cleaning out the safe, destroying old classified material. He also updated the deliberate and crisis action planning and execution segments (DCAPES)/ status of resources and training system (SORTS)continuity binder, reviewing and organizing monthly designed operational capability (DOC) statements, updating SIPR appointment letters and safe access documentation, and by leading classified safe training. Gettman was also instrumental in guiding the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron in the unit's structural transformation and realignment of 149 positions to the correct organizational structure codes. Lastly, as the "Green Program" lead for 8th FSS, he determined that 2,545 bulbs in five Kunsan dormitories required energy efficient LED replacements and determined that 8th CES did not have enough manpower for ballast and bulb installation, which prompted an installation cost quote from a local contractor.
