The 8th Operations Group is the backbone of the 8th Fighter Wing, providing the aircrews who fly the wing's F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. The 8th OG is comprised of the 35th Fighter Squadron, 80th Fighter Squadron and the 8th Operations Support Squadron.
Members from the 80th Fighter Generation Squadron provide maintenance support for the departure of F-16 Fighting Falcons assigned to the 80th Fighter Squadron, during Joint Exercise Cobra Gold 24 at Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand, March 1, 2024.
