8TH OPERATIONS GROUP

The 8th Operations Group is the backbone of the 8th Fighter Wing, providing the aircrews who fly the wing's F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. The 8th OG is comprised of the 35th Fighter Squadron, 80th Fighter Squadron and the 8th Operations Support Squadron.

8th FW prepares for Typhoon Soulik

Two 8th Fighter Wing F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 80th Fighter Squadron “Juvats” is prepared for storage in anticipation of a typhoon on Aug. 22, 2018 at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. As part of preparation for Typhoon Soulik, 8th Fighter Wing personnel are taking measures, such as closing hardened aircraft shelters, to ensure all of their assets and personnel are secured and prepared for the adverse weather.
