Kunsan F-16s land safely following in-flight emergency Published April 7, 2015 By 040701 KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Two F-16 Fighting Falcons assigned to the 8th Fighter Wing landed safely after one of the aircraft experienced an in-flight emergency at approximately 2:35 p.m. April 7. The pilot experienced a serious engine malfunction during a training flight and proceeded to follow established safety guidelines before landing safely at Muan Airfield. Both pilots are unharmed.
