Wolf Pack members receive Article 15 punishments

KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea --  Twelve members of the Wolf Pack recently received punishment under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).

An airman first class from the 8th Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for failure to go and violating a lawful general regulation, in violation of Articles 86 and 92. The member was apprehended for being in a Kunsan City bar after curfew. When an Air Force Office of Special Investigation agent asked the member to produce his military identification card, the member falsely stated he was not in possession of a military ID. It was also determined the member had wrongfully consumed alcoholic beverages despite being under the legal age of 21. The commander imposed the following punishment: reduction to airman, 14 days restriction, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 8th Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for failure to go and failure to obey a lawful general order, in violation of Articles 86 and 92. The member failed to report for a mandatory training day. The member also failed to comply with Air Force Instruction 36-2903, on dress and personal appearance, by wrongfully reporting to an open ranks inspection with his hair touching his ears. The commander imposed the following punishment: reduction to airman basic, 30 days restriction to Kunsan Air Base with 10 days suspended, 30 days extra duty with 10 days suspended and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 8th Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for misbehavior of sentinel, in violation of Article 113. The member was found sleeping at his post. The commander imposed the following punishment: 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 8th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for violating a lawful general regulation, in violation of Article 92. The member wrongfully used his government travel card for unofficial purposes. The commander imposed the following punishment: suspended reduction to airman basic and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 8th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for being disrespectful to a superior commissioned officer, being disrespectful to two noncommissioned officers, wrongfully using provoking words, drunk and disorderly conduct and wrongfully communicating a threat, in violation of Articles 89, 91, 117, and 134. The member was involved in a verbal altercation with another airman outside of the Visitor Control Center. The member was cursing at and positioned himself in a threatening manner in front of the Airman. When security forces removed the member from in front of the airman, the member cursed at them and shoved one of the security forces Airmen. The commander imposed the following punishment: 45 days restriction to Kunsan Air Base and 45 days extra duty. 

A senior airman from the 8th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for wrongfully committing adultery, in violation of Article 134. The commander imposed the following punishment: a reprimand. 

A senior airman from the 8th Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for failure to obey a lawful general order in violation of Article 92. The member was apprehended in A-Town for public intoxication. After checking his identification card, town patrol learned that he was under the age of 21. The commander imposed the following punishment: reduction to airman basic, 45 days restriction to Kunsan Air Base, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 9th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for disobeying a direct order, in violation of Article 92. The member was given a direct order not to consume any alcohol, which he disobeyed. The commander imposed the following punishment: reduction to airman first class, 14 days restriction to Kunsan Air Base, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman from the 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for assault and being disorderly, in violation of Articles 128 and 134. The member was hanging out in a dorm hallway with other Airmen when CQ personnel told everyone to return to their rooms. The member came across another Airman who was leaving the third floor and pushed that Airman down the stairs. When the Airman stood up, the member started pushing him again and punched him in the face. The commander imposed the following punishment: 21 days restriction to Kunsan Air Base, 21 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A staff sergeant from the 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for disrespect toward a superior commissioned officer, disobeying a lawful order and being drunk and disorderly, in violation of Articles 89, 91, and 134. The member was apprehended in A-Town by security forces for being drunk and disorderly at which time the member became disrespectful and belligerent. Security forces told the member to be quiet several times, but the member continued to be disrespectful and disruptive. The commander imposed the following punishment: suspended reduction to senior airman, 45 days restriction to Kunsan Air Base and 30 days extra duty.

An airman first class from the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for failure to obey a lawful general order, in violation of Article 92. The member was seen consuming alcoholic beverages during a routine patrol by security forces at Osan Air Base. After checking the member's identification card, security forces learned the member was under the age of 21. The commander imposed the following punishment: reduction to airman and suspended and forfeiture of $729 pay per month for two months.

A senior airman from the 8th Operations Support Squadron received an Article 15 punishment for failure to go and dereliction of duty in violation of Articles 86 and 92. The member failed to report to his appointed place of duty at the time prescribed. The member was then instructed to appear before his commander in service dress at a set date and time, nearly three weeks later. The member failed to obtain and possess a service dress uniform, as directed, for the appointment with the commander. The commander imposed the following punishment: reduction to airman first class, suspended reduction to airman, 45 days restriction to Kunsan Air Base with 15 days suspended, 45 days extra duty with 15 days suspended and a reprimand.
