The 8th Services Squadron is following the base's "LEAN" operations initiative by reviewing their business practices to be more efficient and cost effective while offering Kunsan the best morale, welfare and recreational programs in the Air Force.

The most immediate changes Kunsan residents will notice is new operating hours at the Loring Club and Yellow Sea Bowling Center. Beginning March 1, the Loring Club will be closed on Mondays and the bowling center will open at 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

"We're unlike any other squadron in that we are a business. It's crucial for us to continually look at our business practices and find ways to improve," said Maj. Sirena Morris, the 8th Services Commander.

"Buck Night" at the Loring Club has moved to Tuesdays so club members can still enjoy $1 pizza slices and $1 long necks. Club members also get a new perk starting March 1, which is a savings of 20 percent on the Community Activities Center's tours and $1 off the Wolf Pack Wheels. Also, new at the CAC, two new stops, at Valentine's Pizza and the cinema, on the E-Mart / Lotte Mart bus.

The Yellow Sea Bowling Center will close during the day Mondays through Thursdays, but will continue to offer its popular evening programs.

"There's something happening every night from "Women Bowl Free" on Mondays, "Club Members Bowl for $1," to Kunsan's version of cosmic bowling "Howling Bowl." Fridays and Saturdays. The Howler has all the week day specials listed inside," said Maj. Morris.
"These are just the first steps we're taking to make Kunsan Services the best in the Air Force," said Maj. Morris. "More exciting changes are on the horizon as we plan to continually improve our menus, products and offer more club member benefits. Customer focus is the key to success. We're looking at what services and programs you want and how to best give them to you."
