Airmen from the 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 8th Force Support Squadron worked together to complete the Wolf Pack's mission to accept follow on forces during Wolf War Day March 23.

Eighth Fighter Wing Airmen routinely participate in war-days to practice their wartime capabilities ahead of every Peninsula Wide Operational Readiness Exercise. The 8th LRS and 8th FSS joined forces this Wolf War day to receive and process the largest recorded group of Airmen through the Personnel Deployment and Reception Function line.

"Today we are practicing the full scale reception of follow on forces" Said Capt. Mike Carter, 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Installation Deployment Reception Officer, "basically we're playing this as real-world as we can get."

From 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. more than 200 Kunsan Airmen dragged bags and processed through the PDRF line.

"We're conducting a large scale reception process start to finish, to get ready for the ORI," said Tech. Sgt. Erin Page, 8th FSS, PDF/PDRF Eligibility Representative. "No more simulations. This is the down and dirty; this is exactly how long it would take to process 200 plus people."

According to Sergeant Page practicing the PDF/PDRF line is important to every member of the wolf pack.

"It's accountability," she said. "We get the people straight off the plain and we want to make sure we have 100 percent accountability so the commanders know exactly how many defenders they have on base, how many maintainers they have on base, how many CE [Civil Engineers] they have on base etc., to better accomplish the Wolf Pack mission."

According to Senior Airman Gustavo Gonzalez, a photographer with the 8th Fighter Wing Public Affairs office, even though he had deployed once before, he had not processed through a PDRF line. Going through the line here helped him better understand the process and prepared him for future deployments.

"Processing through the PDRF line helps us prepare for a real world deployment because you get to go through the motions of a deployment," he said. "It gives you a heads up on what to expect when you get deployed."

The 8th FSS and 8th LRS work hand and hand to complete the Wolf Pack mission statement to "Accept Follow on Forces."

"This is the biggest chalk we've ever received and in a full up reception line" said Captain Carter, "And we couldn't do it without the airmen in the PDRF and in LRS they are the one's making this happen."
