The objective of the Air Force's Winter Wingman Day 2011 on Feb. 25 was to reinforce the wingman concept as the foundation to building resilient Airmen.

According to the base's senior leadership, the goal was to encourage wingmen to be vigilant and resilient by devoting time for structured unit discussion of these important topics, thereby enhancing their wingman skills.

In small groups, leaders across the Wolf Pack, and the Air Force, guided focused discussions on resiliency using slides with embedded video examples. Commanders and their subordinate leaders and facilitators, selected for their own solid resiliency skills, led the discussions. Following the briefings, leaders then guided team-building exercises to put the wingman concept into action.
