Wolf Pack first responders take action during MARE

KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Wolf Pack's first responders practiced their response to a simulated aircraft crash during a major accident response exercise here Sept. 29.

MAREs can simulate a number of events such as an aircraft crash, hazardous waste exposure or a terrorist attack.

For this MARE, an aircraft had a simulated engine failure with an explosion, which caused a fire, with approximately 20 simulated casualties. Members of the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron, 8th Medical Support Squadron, 8th Security Forces Squadron and other base agencies were put to the test of responding to the simulated aircraft accident.
