Senior Airman Myles Lipscomb, an 8th Maintenance Squadron electronic warfare journeyman, was selected as Kunsan Air Base’s Pride of the Pack for the week of August 5-9.

Lipscomb acted as a shift lead directing his team through 283 maintenance actions and remedying 67 faults. This resulted in a 47%increase in electronic warfare pod serviceability.

His team efficiently managed a MAJCOM-directed software upgrade across three test stations and 49 electronic warfare pods. This upgrade bolstered EW capabilities for the 8th FW’s fleet and secured electromagnetic spectrum superiority within the Indo-Pacific region.

Lipscomb also led a four-member team to solve an elusive two-year fault on one of their test stations.

“Like with most things that require maintenance, if you can make the situation worse, there is most likely a way to make it better,” said Lipscomb.

Within two weeks, his team identified and corrected the issue, increasing the section's operations by 33%.
Congratulations to SrA Lipscomb for your recognition as this week’s pride of the pack!
