KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea -- Lt. Col. John Kim, 8th Civil Engineer Squadron commander joined the 8th CES electrical systems team for an immersion to remain familiar with his squadron’s tactical mission capabilities.

During the immersion, Senior Airman Jonathan Brinkey, 8th CES electrical systems journeyman, led the team on a mission to change the water tower’s beacon lights. The beacon light helps alleviate some stress for pilots as it provides a visual confirmation of their location relevant to Kunsan AB during nighttime flights and inclement weather.
