The 8th Fighter Wing held a remembrance run and a ceremony honoring POW-MIA at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Sept. 28-29.

Over the span of 24-hours, Airmen from units all across the Wing volunteered to keep the POW/MIA flag in motion around the quarter mile track. The run and ceremony are a heartfelt annual tradition for the men and women of Kunsan AB to execute each September.

According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency's website, there are an estimated 82,666 U.S. service members still considered missing in action across the world. Many of those missing were captured while fighting in Korea.
