Senior Airman Casey Lang, 8th Maintenance Group slick low crew member, was selected as the 8th Fighter Wing’s Pride of the Pack for the week of Sept 4-8.

Lang is being recognized for his exceptional need for perfection and outstanding ability to provide upgrade training to 12 Airman, assist six non-commissioned officers and perform four key task list inspections that are critical to Pacific Air Force’s combat ability.

"A bunch of our new team members came to Kunsan working from different shreds, so this was their first time working on an F-16 and didn't know what was going on or how to load weapons on the aircraft,” said Lang. “I brought them up to speed when no one asked or forced me to do it because it was just the right thing to do.”

Lang also collaborated with three agencies to identify ten faulty fins in need of repair, which led to timely fixes and kept all those involved with launching the aircraft safe.

"Our weapon standardization team, we're like a family.” said Lang. “We have a tight knit bond, so if someone needs something we are all there together to help them,  I haven't been put up for a lot of awards so I want to thank the leadership here, they gave me the opportunity to do different things.”

Congratulations to Senior Airman Lang and thank you for your dedication to the Airmen and mission of the Wolf Pack!
