American Forces Network (AFN) will air live coverage of the U.S. mid-term elections to give viewers here the opportunity to experience the national political conversation.

Live election coverage on AFN|news (Ch. 3 locally) begins Wed. Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. In addition to coverage on AFN|news, AFN is airing four hours of live coverage on AFN|prime Atlantic (Ch. 2 locally) beginning at 1 p.m. local time on the same day.

With the exception of Tuesday’s regularly-scheduled “Big Three” network newscasts, AFN has selected CNN and Fox News Channel as its core election coverage providers, and will alternate hourly between those sources. As more results begin to roll in, viewers will be able to select alternate sources on either AFN|news or AFN|prime Atlantic.

Since the mid-terms will be the story-of-the-day, virtually all regular news programming will be coverage of the elections, except there will be no actual results to report prior to the special evening election blocks.
