No Runway, No Problem: ADLS Activation
Recently, the 8th Fighter Wing activated an Approach-Departure Landing Surface at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, and demonstrated their ability to conduct flying operations despite being down a runway. Through a concerted effort by security forces, airfield management and the aircraft traffic control tower, the Wolf Pack can rapidly secure any area and turn it into a site to project combat airpower.
