Airmen accomplish rapid airfield repair training

A wheel loader moves a concrete slab on the flightline at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Dec. 9, 2020. The 8th CES conducted rapid airfield damage repair, or RADR, during an 8th Fighter Wing training event. The RADR process is an innovative runway repair method involving an adjustable, rapid-setting concrete solution. The RADR team can fill and set concrete in just over an hour, bringing airfields back online and allowing critical mission operations to resume quickly.
