KUNSAN AIR BASE, Republic of Korea --

As part of Korea Flying Training 2024, the 8th Fighter Wing’s F-16 Fighting Falcons are sharing the skies and the Kunsan flightline with joint and allied aircraft from across the region, including 5th-generation aircraft, including U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning IIs.

KFT 24 is a combined large-force flying exercise part of the 7th Air Force’s annual training to enhance the interoperability between the U.S. and Republic of Korea forces during air-to-air and air-to-surface missions. Working with different generations of airframes challenges mission commanders to maximize the aircraft’s unique capabilities to succeed in robust, complex training scenarios.
