Best thing you've done here: Apprehend an unauthorized individual in the munitions storage area, learning law enforcement as a security forces patrolman, leading more troops.
Reason for nomination: "Staff Sgt. Lopez was coined by Col. Joseph Atkins, 8th Mission Support Group commander, for detecting an unauthorized local-national who gained entry to an unauthorized area. He immediately challenged and detained the individual. He notified the Base Defense Operations Center of the unauthorized entry and secured the individual until backup forces arrived. Lopez removed the individual from the area and turned him over to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. Furthermore, Lopez identified where the breach occurred and also located the individual's vehicle, which carried concealed weapons. Lopez's keen observation and text book procedures ensured the safety of more than 2,700 Wolf Pack members. Lopez's actions demonstrated Security Forces' ability to Defend the Base." Master Sgt. Charles Minyard, 8th Security Forces Squadron
