COLONEL G. HALL "PHOENIX" SEBREN. JR

Col G. Hall Sebren Jr. commands the 8th Maintenance Group at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. As commander, he is responsible for the daily flying and maintenance operations, intermediate level maintenance, component repair and maintenance training for a combat wing with 44 permanently assigned F-16 fighter jet aircraft. He controls and allocates resources, directs the activities of more than 1,200 personnel, manages an annual budget of more than $650K and develops and implements plans to meet wing operational taskings.

 

He was born at Laughlin AFB, TX and moved through various Air Force bases, completing high school in Marietta, GA. He entered the Air Force in 1996 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and has been a flight commander, operations officer, and squadron commander both deployed and in-garrison. He recently completed course work at the Air War College, graduating with academic distinction and earning the Senior Leadership Innovation Award for research excellence.

 

Prior to the Air War College, he was the Installation Chief of Safety at Hill AFB, UT and responsible for Flight, Ground, and Weapons Safety policies and programs.

 

He is an aircraft maintenance officer and has served in numerous positions maintaining A-10, C-130, F-15, F-16, HH-60, MQ-1, and MC-12 aircraft.
